Spending Time in Scottsdale

As a spread workforce, the opportunity to meet and collaborate in person is a priority from Posh leadership. Poshies from all over the country flew into the Scottsdale Plaza Resort to meet, gather and invest in each other by attending the very first company offsite in Scottsdale, AZ Oct.18-21.

Operating as a fast-growing remote-first company, the offsite strengthened the connections cross-departmentally and reinforced our people-first community. In addition to working together, small groups participated in an array of exciting activities.

“Seeing the entire team together has been the highlight of my tenure at Posh. It’s fun to keynote a conference or raise venture capital, but nothing compares to seeing all of my incredible teammates - who can work at nearly any company in the world - choose to invest their careers, time, and energy each other here at Posh,” said Nick Leonard, Head of People.

Looking to the Future

The entire company kicked off with the history of Posh presented by co-founder and CTO, Matt McEachern, covering the early days at MIT to where we are now–empowering our clients and their customers. This session helped Poshies contextualize how we came to be the market leaders of conversational AI for financial institutions we are today.

Poshies collaborated in two working sessions to create a vision for the future, supported by co-founder and CEO Karan Kashyap, who enthusiastically endorsed the team’s vision while inviting the team to “create the future” as rapid growth continues.

We value the input of all [our employees], which is why we’ve built programming to include a collaborative working session to contribute to the vision and trajectory of Posh,” Nick Leonard, Head of People.

So Much Room for Activities

Exciting activities commenced in the second half of the day ranging from ATV, horseback riding, hiking, wine tasting, and a visit to the Contemporary Art Museum. For the second day, the activities included Top Golf, a cooking class, a tour through the Desert Botanical Garden and a pub crawl/party bike. Poshies signed up for an activity of their choice and had a wonderful time bonding with coworkers! It was a game-changing experience for many Poshies, but don’t take our word for it, here’s what they had to say:

“When I was given the opportunity to work for Posh, I was a little nervous that I would feel disconnected working remotely. The connection and friendships I’ve gained in this short 5 months is nothing short of a blessing. Super grateful to work with such kind, intelligent people, and I look forward to growing with the company!” Melissa Blevins, Client Success Manager

“I’m thankful to our leadership and People Team for organizing such an incredible event, which brought so many of us together. It reinforces what a great place Posh is to work. It was a blast getting together and learning more about my co-workers!” Shannon Gausepohl, Marketing Manager

“It was f----g awesome!” Matt Miller, Software Engineer Manager, Product
